... I see someone staying in a hotel (or my apartment complex) who's failed to turn on his/her network security settings.


I just poked around in someone's computer for a few minutes (looks like a talented graphic artist and video game designer), got his name and email, and sent him a tactful and friendly email warning him that some of his computer is visible to anyone with a wireless card. I hope I don't get sued or something!

I'm also noooosy. I see a stray name on my wireless card's network list, I just HAVE to try and log on.

That's the first time I've managed to get into someone's computer, although i do have a couple neighbors in my apartment complex who don't seem to have their wireless routers secure.
