It's comedian Sarah Silverman.

Except for the "hey, let's be viral!" bit at the end, I really liked this. Although that was an odd mix of celebrities; I'm not sure Dustin Hoffman, for example, will resonate that well with the 18 to 20-somethings I assume they were trying to reach.

Also the beginning is a bit long for people with short attention spans.

But it's a useful message, and my aunt had been nagging me to use my net skills to plug voters registration. So there, lazy me.

I'm lazy-- I don't do much activism or get involved in party stuff, I just go to the League of Women Voters (http://www.lwv.org/Election2008/index.html) website the morning of an election, take notes on all the propositions and candidates, and then go vote. (For those who haven't used that site, they really do try to do a good job of providing unbiased breakdowns of each propositions and what both opponents and supporters are saying, plus they link to the websites, statements and bios of local election candidates).

Propositions are going to be the death of me. I hate them, actually -- so often they are confusingly worded, pet projects of some well-funded organization or another. And on top of the 12 or 13 on the statewide ballot, the city of San Francisco has *22* more. Sometimes I just vote "no" on the lot and have done with it.
