Well, predictably, it's a teaser for the Fanfic That Ate My Brain, but woot... I just tried out iMovie.

Hmm, better tools maybe? A sort of overlaid, partially transparent fade-in, fade-out of such a clip shouldn't be beyond most reasonable movie editors. I've no idea what iMovie is like; I did a bit with Adobe Premiere back in the day, and have a couple of vids to my name, though they're old.

Is the new one going to be uploaded over the old one, or will you be posting a new link? *interested! could stand to watch that video more than a few times.*

I really think Sin is an excellent career move for her.

I've edited my post above to point to the revised/tweaked video, so if you hit reload you should see something slightly different. The last 30 seconds have a lot more fast cuts now.

There's probably a way to do more subtle transitions like that on iMovie, but I'm not sure. It's really, really basic -- I was surprised it would let me extract audio from one clip and layer it on another. I'm beginning to suspect Apple's deliberately left out a lot of video editing tools on iMovie and has more of them in iMovie HD, which I haven't yet investigated. It's my first day playing with video editing, though, so it may just be a learning curve.

But now I need to get back to writing!

Took a look, and I definitely am preferring the improved ending; it does feel a lot more overwheming, does whip up the sense of power and awe a lot more.

Gah, every time I think about this topic I want to write a vaguely sapphic fic involving the moment when Lulu actually becomes the Final Aeon and is called upon by Yuna. I just need to figure out how to make it work in my head.

Please do, please dooooo. The idea keeps bubbling up in little flashes, when I'm working on other things entirely, and I'd love to see someone flesh it out and run with it.
