My favorite pitcher is starting. My team is playing in San Diego, where my aunt lives, and she promised to take me a to a game sometime this year as a birthday present.

Oh, I am such a silly rabbit. Why do I like baseball? Why?

Because baseball kicks ass (i prefer soccer over it but it's still fun!). I'm still sad my Johnny Damon left the Sox for the ebil Yanks. *cries*

Wednesday. Brad Penny (three yays and a woohah, even if he did get a weird hitch in his undies last week) vs. Mark Thompson.

Brad Penny is our best pitcher. *more glee*

And I think our veteran slugger Jeff Kent may be off the Disabled List tomorrow night. But four rookies have been taking care of the hits lately. I was so VERY amused today: the Rockies have started walking our rookies, even our catcher.

Heh.

Ho hum. Batting a mere .366 in 13 games, only 6 home runs and 15 runners batted in-- our new outfielder Matt Kemp really needs to shape up!

Now if our bullpen would just stop pitching like monkeys flinging bananas.

Oooh, have fun! Baseball live is so much better than baseball on TV. Seeing how the players work together, the energy of the crowd... It's great. And I hear the stadium in San Diego is really nice. My in-laws live down that way and I really want to get to a game the next time we visit during the summer.

You like baseball because baseball is awesome. (But boo, hiss, Jeff Kent. He is pure evil. Evil I tell you! ...Okay, really he left the Giants under ugly circumstances and we are all still bitter. But also, he's evil. ;) Isn't it funny how sports loyalties can make otherwise rational people hold all these irrational beliefs?)

Meep, no, I feel like scum since i know you won't be here much longer, but I don't think there's a way to coordinate my going down for an evening game with my aunt, and going and visiting you. Even if there were, she and I have been planning and not having time to do this "girls night out" for two years (it includes my first-ever taste of baseball stadium hot dogs, and will probably be my last), and I want to savor it. ;)
