I think I just saw an inch of rain fall in the last 5 minutes. And here I thought we were about done with this week's monsoon.

Okay, okay, I take it back, weather gods. You have finally managed to produce enough rain to equal an east coast summer downpour.

Very impressive. There was even a modest attempt at lightning a moment ago.

(For someone from a rainy land who's lived in a desert for 12 years, I'm enjoying this "biggest storm in 25 years" entirely too much. I've seen deluges like this back east, but it's been a loooong time.)

Ooh...then you've missed one of the rainiest eastern summers we've had in quite a while. It's been great because the bio nerd in me has been able to wander around the woods and parks with a couple of mycology texts to peek at all of the species that I never get to see. Got to make some really exceptional spore prints and I somehow avoided poison ivy too. Great rainy summer. I hope it's the same this year.

It's raining like that here, too. I mean, you wouldn't think Southern New Mexico would get BUCKETS of rain.
