(The earth moved)
Jul. 29th, 2008 04:57 pmI've been babbling away on my non-fandom LJ about this morning's quake and realize I've got some folks here who might want a check-in too.
MOTHER NATURE WINS!
One palpable aftershock so far.
Nothing fell, no damage, just a fun ride this morning.
It occurs to me my irrational enjoyment of earthquakes may partly be due to my mourning for those bouncy air mattress fun-houses that are only open to kids 12 and under. The year I was forbidden to enter them anymore was a great sadness.
Of course, mainly I just like Mother Nature saying, "Yo! I'm still in charge, by the way."

Date: 2008-07-30 03:58 pm (UTC)BTW, you can go in those air mattress jumpy things, depends on where you get it. Dal's sister's inlaws have one for their party rental business and they don't care if we adults bounce in it. Same sister of hubby also had a birthday party for my oldest nephew at this funhouse place in Santa Clarita that is just a giant room of air mattress slides and bouncy things and mazes and trapeezes and more! We adults were allowed to go in on stuff but sometimes it was only one of us at a time.
