4 FFX Auron icons

Just some random experiments with masking and fill modes. It doesn't look like much, but #2 actually has 15 layers!

Edit: I love the way all the lines of the Kanji for Auron's name are embedded in the lines of his face and glasses. :D

Sorry; thought it looked prettier having the b&w ones staggered. ;) I have a huge folder of Auron screencaps I've gotten from here and there. There's a set of about 3-4 sharp clear ones in Zanarkand, probably during the initial conversation with Yunalesca. I don't remember what he's saying there, but it's right before the flashback of Braska and Jecht saying goodbye to young-Auron on the steps leading into Yunalesca's inner sanctum.

BTW, that's actually katakana, not Kanji. I am working on memorizing it right now, along with hiragana.

FWIW, pictures are here-- I can't remember which online gallery I nabbed 'em from. For the Auron-closeups, the ratio's wrong -- it should be 640x480, donno quite what they did to it!

I found the scene. It's when they find Lord Zaon's statue, and Tidus asks Auron "why didn't you tell us?" Auron turns around and asks Yuna, "Would it have stopped you from coming, had you known?" The close-up of his face there uses the high-polygon version, which you don't get to see for him too often since they hide his face with his collar most of the time.

Oh, how nice. It's so refreshing to see his entire face in official art. I recently found a picture of his action figure with the glasses off (FFX even, not KH) and I squeed a bit.

Aha. A lot of icon table generators -- and LJ itself, when you have it place an image for you -- do this:

<IMG SRC="www.blahdeblah.com/diddle.gif" />. I think the voice posts do the same thing with the soundfile link. See that weird / at the end? Betcha that's what's killing it. I took those out.
