Very enjoyable story, with a nice bit of humor at the end. It definitely adds a very plausible backstory to Wakka, Lulu, and Zuke's pilgrimage, and exposes a more human side to Lulu. I'm also glad that it's Father Zuke's conclusion about the summoner-guardian bond and not something explicity stated in the texts, which is what makes the reason work.
