More on Final Fantasy names/trivia.

Grabbed from wikipedia: "Shin-Ra" is written with the Japanese kanji 神羅. The individual kanji mean "god"/"divine" and "snare"/"net"/"silk". The "Ra" is also often used to represent Rome.
