I'm relieved that I'm not the only one who finds carnivals and "fun houses" jarring and intimidating. Sometimes, if I'm in the right frame of mind, I can enjoy them, and even as an adult I can lose myself in Disneyland kitsch and be delighted. But mostly, anything approaching carnivals or the Las Vegas strip gives me sensory overload, a feeling of revulsion like eating too much cotton candy, and a vague sense of Evil Clown Mojo.
Again, I'm glad you're enjoying my recaps! Longwinded as this is, I'm trying to compress bits while still making the story intelligible. I'd forgotten just how good a story FF7 is, despite its flaws.
And Tifa needs to speak up more. I guess Aeris talks a lot while...she's here. :/
