Heh. Yep, good ol' Boris. My girlfriend wrote a great filk about his art when he was guest of honor at a scifi con we attended back in 1991 or so. I remember snatches of it now:
"We march through alien caverns of ice and we slaughter the dragons on wizards' advice Wherever we go, whatever we do, The women are all dressed in tinsel & glue!"
[...]
"We've kicked and we've pleaded; You've solemnly sworn That strong female characters now are the norm! Oh artist, dear artist, if this is now true, Then why are we still dressed in tinsel and glue?"
Alas she and her co-composer couldn't quite muster the nerve to join the autograph line and get people singing it.
