Which Final Fantasy V should I use for my playthrough?

Pros of Final Fantasy V on iOS:

• It's got the giddy GBA script which I love (a sample of which is in my userpic). The Playstation translation was flatter than Yuna's voice acting. When I played originally, I had a copy of the GBA script next to me to reread all the lines. But it didn't include NPC dialog.
  
• It will allow me to screencap, as opposed to sticking a camera in front of my TV.
  
• Extra job classes and a bonus boss (this is not so important to me).
  
• Paying silly price for old game. (Not really important; birthday is next week.)

It's much cleaner-looking, but characters have transformed from chibi sprites (cute!) to Gumby & Pokey.

It's odd... the avatars look more Amano-like, but for once, the snooty artsy style takes away from it a bit, to my eye.

I don't know, the PS script is bad. So, so bad. Sometimes hilariously bad, but still. And the badness of the translation kept me from ever really connecting with the characters or story. So I think it's an easy choice for iOS. But that's just my thought.

I may have found a solution.

1. Get the iOS so that I have the good script.
2. Fewer full-screen screencaps. (I've been overdoing it anyway!)
3. Grab the animated gif sprites from here and use them as markers when I'm doing humorous commentary/dialog. (Which I've been doing too little of in my last playthrough.) So that way I still have the sprites I prefer. The backgrounds on iOS look fine; it's just Stretchy!Lenna that's really bugging me.

I am firmly in the iOS camp, since I love the GBA localization (and, conversely, can't stand the PSX version). FF5 was already a good game, but that made it great. ... I'm not sure how I feel about the Amano artwork being used so faithfully in-game (since it looks rather odd in that context), but that's very pretty. Might have to look into that if I ever go tablet and find an Android version.

Okay, I'm warming to the iOS.

Anyway, if Sev and Rina are going to be playing it on something else (?) it's imperative that one of us has the iOS graphics.

And while $17 for an iPad game is insane, my parents probably spend five times that much on a round of golf. O.o;;

Priorities. Life is weird.
