The odd thing is that I don't think of the FF8 characters as teenagers at all, but ... perhaps that was because I was already into college when I started playing, so I looked at their struggle from that P.O.V. instead? Hmm.
Squall wasn't cool to me; I couldn't stand him until he finally opened up aboard the Ragnarok. These days, I hold him in much higher regard, but that comes largely from writing him. ... On the other hand, I've always adored Quistis, and that really hasn't changed.
