Well, Till Death Do Us Part (an extremely appropriate piece for ff.net) got unfavved when Auron showed up -- oh noes, an Aulu piece! But this was Lulu's Journal. Which is somewhat stream-of-consciousness, unpolished, unchecked, but I didn't think it was BORING. And it's, like, canon, with no shipitude at all.

Of course, it's better on ff_project or here, where I can include lots of piccies. :)

I sympathize. I have a history of people reading a piece of fic, expecting it to be one ship or another, and being totally thrown off when the real ship shows up. Because, you know, I pretty much ALWAYS write femslash/yuri/shoujoai, but people who aren't in Utena fandom don't know this about me. So if I happen to write in a different fandom, I get squees until the dyke-age shows up. Then I get crickets.

The thing is, your writing is good enough that the crickets are almost certainly from anti-dyke-age.

My crickets sometimes are because people don't like the pairing, and sometimes because of the patchy quality of my writing. The former -- oh well, not my problem. The latter-- yipes.

I fear that this time it's the latter.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Every time it happens to me I go mad with angst -- "Why don't they like me anymore? What did I doooo?" I guess it's one of those "can't please everyone" kinds of things. Doesn't make it any less depressing

I have gotten behind on Lulu's Journal but what I've read I've enjoyed very much. Now that I'm back from my crazy fangirl weekend I hope to catch up soon....
