Larsa/Penelo was pretty well hinted at in canon -- as in, "it could happen when he's older." I wouldn't write it, but they seem compatible, and it's a charming fantasy: the dancer/commoner and the cultivated prince, each recognizing the other as a person, not as their roles.
The Faris/Lenna thing is different. It's not a pairing I'm drawn to, in the way that I find certain other pairings attractive and emotionally satisfying. In those, I am fascinated by the interactions and contrasts/commonalities between two well-defined characters. In-game Lenna doesn't have enough characterization for me to see anything of the kind.
This time, however, it's a plot bunny that's chewing my foot. I don't know if it's enough of a bunny to write a story, but when I started pondering it, I ran smack dab into a huge unexamined assumption in my head. Writing the story may be a way of examining it.
