Yeah, I had Rikku wink and say "See you later!" right before they dropped Auron off with the statue, as if it wasn't blazingly obvious she'd talked herself into helping all the way back en route to Bevelle.
I had forgotten how much I packed into this one chapter. Wobbled between splitting it into two parts (for those as prefer shorter chapters), but I wanted to get into Sin and start laying the smackdown.
I was particularly pleased with the CS4 reunion...trying to shoehorn a personal scene into the middle of all this big stuff was a PITA, but it NEEDED TO BE THERE.
I am glad you are finding the triangle somewhat plausible. I'm not really sure how that got into the story, except that I needed more reasons for things to be prickly (as if their past wasn't enough).
