Most of my flist already knows Takarazuka, I'm sure, but on the off-chance someone (i.e.
sissihiyah) doesn't...
meet the coolest Death ever. Of course, with the silver hair. (Translation here)
Or, for an even cooler version: this Death makes me fall into a gibbering heap. (Embedding disabled on that one.)

Here is Yami ga Hirogaru with Ryouga Haruhi as Rudolf (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkW_NMMCv4A) and then with Aoki Izumi as Rudolf (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRASANSfIes) (which is I think the version you linked to).

Date: 2010-03-14 07:09 pm (UTC)The Takarazuka Revue is a large musical theater troupe with all-women casts, the inverse of traditional Noh. They put on many different shows from (adapted) Oklahoma to Phantom of the Opera, but Elisabeth is the first one HC introduced me to. This particular number with Death trying to seduce the emperor's son into seizing the throne is always jaw-dropping.
Oh, and by the way, in the end, Death gets the girl (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vi2WeR3xss). :)
