What's so frustrating is that I can see images perfectly in my mind, but I can't make them appear on the page.
Oh well. The following is VERY rough illustration of the chapter I'm writing right now. Just about worksafe, but snuggly.

It's simulated watercolor and ink. Painter Classic lets you imitate various traditional materials with a drawing tablet. The undo key is the only reason I have a snowball's chance in hell of getting a faint likeness.
Now, obviously, I need to google for Yoshitaka Amano, because I'm an ignoramus.

Date: 2006-05-11 10:14 am (UTC)Yoshitaka Amano is great, and even Final Fantasy relevant. He designs all the logos and does/did some character design.
He also illustrated the Sandman Dream Hunters graphic novel, my copy of which I managed to be signed/doodled in by both Gaiman and Amano, and yet is sitting quite neglected in my very exposed living room bookshelf. I shouldn't be allowed to have nice books, ever.
