Oh, by all means steal the idea and run with it! I'm not up for organizing much right now...my A/L shrine and my efforts to read/review a lot of people's work are my modest contributions to the fanfic community. :)
The trouble is I'm hanging out here because I'm playing hooky from YEARS of moderating online communities, and my last job -- it was a job -- I was on 3-10 hours every day for a year, running and overseeing and mediating a several-thousand-member LOTR community's activities. I stepped down too late, found I was totally burned out, and almost can't bear to hang out in a place where my friends and my heart were.
As a result I'm currently skittish of any sort of rules or obligations that turn fandom fun into a chore. Like, even little things like maintaining a consistent story header format. I'm trying to write full headers now to help people, but, er, I'd have to go REWRITE all my headers to fit bangonfic's particular standards, which aren't the same format as pyre_flies standards, which...oh, whatever. Not gonna happen.
So if bangonfic would be okay with someone who doesn't necessarily write full headers exactly like all your detailed instructions... *wry grin* ... I'd be happy to stop by. I read and review about 5-10 pieces every day, including drabbles, because ... oh, i know how much it means to have people read and comment! And it's fun. But it's also important.
