Ha, yes. We the players so often give heroes bad habits, like playing Triple Triad while the world is ending. :)
You may be right about the possibility that someone could someday start a new Sin. I have to admit, after working so long on this story, I'm resisting the suggestion that everything my characters do in this story will be for naught, and won't solve anything after all. I hope you'll be satisfied by the end that I've come up with a resolution to head that off, but maybe I haven't!
