And both of them had some pretty major psychological weight to carry around as well.
I hadn't really focused on just how screwed up Barret is until this playthrough. I suppose it's just as well that Marlene winds up living with Tifa (they have some great scenes in Advent Children), although I want to bop Barret (and Cloud) for being away so much.
I think Aeris is fairly sane, although I wish she'd let the rest of the gang come along when she realized what she needed to do.
