Love the battle scenes here, and the description of fighting an Inside-Sin Behemoth as playing tag with a thunderstorm. You have some really great details with the fiend fighting and the magic, and the difficulties of going after new and powerful enemies.
I figured that Rikku wouldn't be left behind. ;) And I agree with everyone else that the gift of the targe is touching, telling, and more than a little worrisome!
The CS4 reunion scene here is probably the best drawing of the romantic triangle yet: setting up questions and tension with just a few words, a hug, and a handshake.
