Springkink.
So I was glancing through the
springkink promptings because ellnyx was discussing a few of them, and my cat just woke me at 6am.
First impressions:
1. Where is the yuri? I see a Talia/Susan tucked away in there, and a very few FFs, but that's it.
2. Why did Sulu/Checkov become the OTP of the new Trek movie? Not that I object to the pairing, but it always puzzles me how a fandom seems to circle the wagons around one particular non-canon ship. (Then again, my fandom latched onto Aurikku. Damn you, fandom.)
3. This prompt? (Nov. 10)
- Final Fantasy X - any/all - drunken antics/karaoke - "and she's buying a stairway to Yevon..."
I just got unintentional revenge on the cat by howling with laughter. It was a refreshing change from all the serious prompts.

Those are some long lists of prompts.

Speaking of long, omg the exit poll for ff_exchange is SCARY!

Is that why you didn't sign up for FFEX? I'd wondered.
Long polls and explanatory posts are an FFEX trademark of sorts. I think it's all about wanting to communicate the details. In an exchange this huge and complicated, the devil is most certainly in the details, so I can totally understand.

I kept trying to get myself to add the moogle fluff, but I couldn't get my muses to work.

After four rounds, I got very disenchanted with Springkink. There's too much crawling through the drek to find one or two halfway decent prompts or fics.
Are You Game, on Dreamwidth, is a little like Springkink but purely game-fandom-focused, and often has a slightly better variety of prompts.
(I'd like these prompt-challenge deals a lot better if you were restricted in how many things you could prompt for. Sixteen variations of Axel/Roxas in a car is a bit much, I think.)

The Babylon 5 prompt was for Nov 6. Just in case someone does write it.
There are a heck of a lot of prompts on springkink that I would never have considered as having potential, had
(Nov 3) -Final Fantasy XII- Drace/Gabranth(Basch)-deception- “If you can fool her, you can fool them all.”
(Nov 7) -Crossover: Final Fantasy VII/Final Fantasy XII, Hojo, Dr Cid, Balthier, Sephiroth: science fetish - happy families are all alike.
FOR SCIENCE! *twitchety twitch*

The crossover one hurts my brain in a hilarious way. XD

"...knocking on Yevon's door...."
I now need to go through my mental list of songs that involve Yevon references....
(Also, wanted to say that your entry on kink a while back was really squeeinducing for me, especially because I definitely have the magic!kink. I'm really fanning over Mana Khemia right now, in part because there's really obvious three-way kinkiness between two guys and the elemental spirit that one of them is bonded to. And I do mean kinkiness-- it involves collars, amongst other things. Delicious.)

I mean, I knew you were, but since my main Lulu/Yuna story I was trying to write for you is still stuckk, I wondered if you'd gotten bored with all my Aulu stuff. As you see, I've been busy with teensy yuri drabbles lately on
And I've never heard of Mana Khemia! Sounds vaguely Egyptian...

Mana Khemia is about alchemy. Hence the Khemia, which actually is from the Egyptian word for alchemy, although the setting is much more... well, it's a school story, actually. But good grief does it bring the pairings. The very interesting pairings.
It's one of GUST's line of weird and interesting PS2 games that I've been getting into recently, which includes Atelier Iris (also alchemy-related) and Ar Tonelico (artificial singing magical girls in a fantasy future, with hymns sung in a massive sprawling conlang with grammar and stuff. Insanely fangasm-oriented; this is a game that rewards being a nitpicky obsessive over every little detail).
But anyway, I shall stop babbling about my latest passions! I just wanted to mention because of the magic!kink potential (very much there in all three games, though particularly in MK and AT).

Interest in Jung caused me to pick up an interest in alchemy.
