It's bad when I'm replying to myself, but I am pleased to discover synchronicity. One of my readers on ff.net (they reply there more, because there's so much badfic it's easy to get ego strokes) noted that Shiva's damage break is dependent on Lulu's celestial weapon. That is-- if you get a celestial weapon, it lets one Aeon or another exceed 9999 damage, and Lulu is linked with Shiva.

This I had not known. I always think of her as thunder. But I suppose she can be rather chilly!

So anyway, this chapter makes even more sense than I realized.

Hey, it's me, Ogro, from fanfiction.net. This illustrated version is a lot better than the boring FF one ^^ but how did you get some of the pictures? The ones that look like they were actually from a journal. They were really cool.

I'm scouring the web for FFX illustations (some of them from the ultimania guide) and then using a lot of photoshop tricks to tweak them until they look hand-drawn and "burn" them onto an image of a journal.

And then I'm using an FFX font to "translate" the actual journal entry into Spiran, pasting that into the journal, and mucking around with the text so it looks handwritten and slightly uneven as opposed to computer-generated.

For instance, I started with this (http://aeris2.blog.jeuxvideo.com/images/mn/1158760060.gif) Shiva.

I also used some filters and textures to discolor and "age" the photo of the blank book I was using.
