Because I'm a dork and I'm not entirely sure how to make it fit a narrow window. The only thing that's being cut off on your screen is part of the righthand ornamental border, which isn't content.

I moved the second half of the navbar to the left so that it won't get cut off if someone's got a narrower screen.
