Yay you got work done on your papers!! That means you were constructive with your time and not wasting it (well not too much heheh, we don't consider fic writing wasting time right?). If you need some opinions on which of those confounded trees to use just let me know. ;)
Thanks for the compliments/reviews on my prologue at ficwad and aff. :D hehe, I know you cannot wait for more... I deserve it for all the heckling I give you. I might give it a good two weeks that way I can write some more for the second chapter since chapter one is all done really but I don't want to post it just yet. Should go through and get rid of those terrible longwinded sentences and ebil semicolons that propagate my stories!!!
Which reminds me, I have an absolute favorite LOTR fic that is posted on FFnet. It is Revenge of the FanFiction Husbands and is an absolute riot. The author makes fun of her own self:
“Here we go,” he said, reading from the list. “Over-reliance on semi-colons; tendency to use compound sentences; occasional lapses into modernisms; heavily dialogue-dependant text; virtually negligible plot; unrealistic portrayals of inter-species relationships; unhealthy fascination with the Elven anatomy; overuse of innuendo; worryingly comprehensive knowledge of BDSM practices. . . Oh, gods, Russell! This all points in one direction!”
The semi-colons thing always hits me and reminds me of this story so I thought you might get a laugh out of it. :)
Oh btw, the second chapter for Necromantia is probably going to circulate around the Operation Mi'ihen stuff and could get difficult yet interesting depending on Auron's observations. I am considering having him aware there is something deeper going on with Lu and Wakka other than Wakka being pissy about machina (before of course the Chappu stuff with Luzzu).
And do you like the title of the story? :D It's a bit of a tribute to your influence and Latin fun. I wanted it to be based on the root, original meaning rather than the negative connotation that it has gotten from some of the Christian history. I like wikipedia.org's definition best: "...form of divination in which the practitioner seeks to raise the spirits of the dead in order to gain knowledge of future events from them, or to acquire special powers from such entities." A bit of a play on words you might say. :D
