Try a comb! You might be pleased with the results. Brushing is bad for wet hair in general (hair is more fragile when it's wet) but especially bad for long hair (more hair to damage plus it's older) and curly/wavy hair (individual strands are more delicate than straight hair). It's the reason I only ever showed Yuna using a comb on Lulu's hair in Guardian.

Now of course Auron probably would not know this, but Rikku might, and Lulu absolutely would.
