X-2 helped me see more clearly the factions and divisions in FFX. They're not quite the same, but it's easy to see how one led to the other. Except that in FFX, the leaders fomenting the ruptures are more or less corrupt, whereas in X-2, despite Nooj being driven by forces not entirely under his control, the leaders are generally about as honest as you're going to find in politics.
