This is a very interesting turn of events. I feel a little sorry for everyone. Dealing with Vegnagun and Sin at once is a tall order. I have this silly image in my head of them taking over Vegnagun and blasting Sin and Yu Yevon out of the sky.

I never though of how Auron and Nooj would interact, but it's proving to be amusing. Your Nooj is someone I might actually be able to like a bit more than I would expect. It's always been hard for me to relate to a character who always wants to die, but you write him as a more self-deprecating person than I've seen before. I like that and think it fits his motivations well.

I know you wanted us to all know it was Shuyin right away, but I feel like he was being very sloppy here - dropping hints about his alienness left and right. The comment about Lenne and the thousand years. I feel like Rikku's simple affirmation that something was wrong might have been enough - well the reference to Vegnagun essential too, so I am not actually too sure about what I just said. I might just be reacting to that fact that a lot got dropped into the story all at once - although I did pick up on your cues earlier on about Nooj and Shinra.
